Top Ten Wii Virtual Console Games
For most old-school gamers, the Wii’s Virtual Console is like a trip down memory lane, harkening back to a better era of blowing into cartridges in order to get them to start or alternating turns by passing a controller back and forth to beat the boss in Area 4-4. Classics from Nintendo’s home systems of yore (as well as the SEGA Genesis, Turbo-Grafx 16, and Neo-Geo) are now available again for download, bringing out the nostalgic, old-school gamer in all of us. Here is a list of some of Virtual Console games that absolutely deserve a spot in anyone’s Virtual Console library.

 

Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos
A classic example of a super-challenging and addicting 2D side-scroller from the NES days.
Gunstar Heroes
Fast-paced and wildly intense, Gunstar Heroes was one of the best games to ever grace the much-loved SEGA Genesis.
Super Mario Bros.
The game that put platformers on the map, Super Mario Bros. made the ubiquitous plumber a household name.

I love Ocarina of Time but I still think Majora's Mask is the best 3D Zelda game to date.  Flame wars have been started with tho...
