The puzzle genre has been around since video games began and the genre is still going strong. Puzzle games can appeal to both hardcore and casual gamers, providing no-frills fun on any number of platforms. Here are some of my favorite brainbusters from the genre:

 

Tetris DS
Definitely the king of the genre, Tetris has been a favorite of many gamers since it first appeared on PCs back in the 80’s, and has stood the test of time without any signs of slowing down. The robust DS entry marks one of the best versions yet.
