Top Movie Based Games
Movies and video games have been working together since the Atari days, but the relationship has more often than not been a tragic one for each side involved. Be it movies to video games (in the case of the infamous E.T. for the Atari 2600) or video games to movies (anything bearing Uwe Boll’s moniker), the track record for game/movie collaborations have been spotty at best. However, a few video games have released that have successfully bucked the trend, offering up compelling gameplay while retaining a faithfulness to their subject matter:

Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
Rogue Leader was by far the strongest launch title for the Nintendo GameCube, and one of the most fun Star Wars titles around, effectively capturing the fun and spirit of the films.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Faithfully recreating the epic battles and action of the films, Return of the King was the apex of EA’s LOTR tie-in and an absolute blast to play.

Peter Jackson's King Kong
An innovative take on the FPS genre, King Kong was a wonderfully cinematic and engaging experience that did service to the film.

What about E.T?  Great list, I was very happy to see Riddick at #2, and it's hard to argue Bond at #1 even though I didn't like ...
