Top 10 Comic Book Games
With heroes like Batman, Iron Man, and the Hulk currently tearing it up in the box office, films based on comics and graphic novels are in the midst of a renaissance of sorts. While an awesome film adaptation is not usually indicative of a great game (Batman Begins, anyone?) there are still some games out there that not only successfully put you in the shoes of your favorite hero, but make sure you have a pretty fun time doing it. Here’s a look at some great comic adaptations:

 

XIII
XIII offered a unique take on shooters, adapting the comic right down to the paneled cutscenes that would unfold in the middle of the action.
City of Heroes
Ncsoft’s superhero MMO wasn’t based on any comic in particular, but is a great way to hearken back to the Jack Kirby days.
The Darkness
Starbreeze’s adaptation was a solid and deep shooter, and added a great element to the comic on which it’s based.
