Ubisoft Hits the Gas with Asphalt: Urban GT 2
Driving Simulation to Storm Nintendo DS™ and PSP® Systems
Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that it will publish Gameloft’s Asphalt™: Urban GT 2, a driving simulation game for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system and Nintendo DS™. Asphalt: Urban GT 2 is developed by Virtuos and Game Source and will be available for the DS in November 2006 and the PSP in March 2007.
Asphalt: Urban GT has been critically acclaimed for its generous content and engaging game play and instantly became a hit new racing brand (selected 2005 Best mobile Racing/Driving game by IGN).
Asphalt: Urban GT 2 shifts into gear with six game modes, numerous tuning possibilities, 30 tracks and 36 licensed cars and motorcycles – taking handheld racing simulations to a new level. To keep the action hot, Asphalt: Urban GT 2 features music from Moby and music and appearances from the Pussycat Dolls.
“Ubisoft is excited to introduce the follow up to one of the best selling racing games on the Nintendo DS,” said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. “Asphalt Urban GT 2 is the most feature-rich racing game available for handhelds and will provide gamers with an exhilarating street racing experience.”
