PSP Mini Gear Pouch Review
Speaking as a satisfied customer of Waterfield Design’s Apple iPod pouch, it came as a pleasant surprise to see the San Francisco-based company bring us a pouch for the Sony PSP. The PSP Mini Gear Pouch might not have all the features of the much bigger PSP Gear Pouch but at $29 it’s the best investment if you’re only interested in carrying around the portable gaming system and just a few extras.
The pouch comes in black but the side of the bag comes in five different checkered colors (mine is black with blue checkers). There are also nylon loops on each side of the pouch perfect for securing around your belt or bag. What I liked most of all was the thickness of the pouch’s material and the zipper in the center locks in place. Yet it’s the inside that counts, right?
Inside, there’s a soft felt divider that fits the PSP itself with the screen rubbing against the soft felt for scratch-resistant protection. Secondly, there’s two mesh pockets perfect for the ear buds, memory cards and up to five or six UMV discs. Because I’m the type of gamer that takes long road trips I often exhaust the system’s battery so I stuffed the AC adapter between the divider and the pouch still closed!
The PSP Mini Gear Pouch has now replaced the soft case that came with the bundle and I intend on using it often during long trips. It’s the perfect companion for your PSP when all you’re interested in carrying are the earphones, memory cards and a few games. The AC adapter fits as well but makes it a bit bulkier but it fits nonetheless and that’s what you’ll appreciate the most.
